A handmade cleansing bar formulated with activated charcoal, peppermint, and tea tree essential oils in an organic oil base. Designed for face and body use, this soap provides deep cleansing with a refreshing mint-herbal scent profile.

What's In It:

• Activated Charcoal: Charcoal that has been processed to increase its porosity and surface area. In skincare, activated charcoal acts through adsorption—its porous structure can bind to oils, dirt, and surface debris during cleansing. The concentration in this formula provides cleansing benefits without leaving gray residue on skin when rinsed thoroughly.

• Peppermint Essential Oil: Contains menthol (typically 30-50% concentration), which creates a cooling sensation by activating cold-sensitive TRPM8 receptors on skin. Provides a fresh, invigorating scent.

• Tea Tree Essential Oil: Extracted from Melaleuca alternifolia, tea tree oil contains terpinen-4-ol as its primary compound. Known for its distinctive medicinal-herbal aroma and traditionally used in cleansing products.

• Organic Oil Base:

• Sunflower Oil: High in linoleic acid and vitamin E, adds conditioning properties
• Extra Virgin Olive Oil: Rich in oleic acid, creates mild lather
• Coconut Oil: Provides cleansing action and lather (fair trade certified)
• Palm Oil: Creates bar firmness and creamy lather (sustainably sourced, fair trade certified)

What It Does:

This soap cleanses through the combined action of saponified oils and activated charcoal. The charcoal component helps lift surface oils and environmental residue from pores during washing. The essential oil blend provides an energizing aromatic experience—particularly suitable for morning showers or post-workout cleansing. Rinses clean without leaving charcoal staining when used as directed.

Usage Considerations:

While activated charcoal can bind to surface oils and debris, it doesn't "detoxify" the body—your liver and kidneys handle that. This soap is a cleansing product, not a treatment for skin conditions. The charcoal may temporarily darken lather but rinses completely.
